After November 2, the media market breathes a sigh of relief, counts its money and returns to normal…

Well, not so fast, bucko. Seems all your regular, local, bread-and-butter clients that had schedules planned and were bumped by those once-in-a-lifetime politicos, now need makegoods. So you can expect the commercial breaks will remain supersized until further notice. My guess, until 12/31 to work out the backlog of makegoods, on top of Xmas business.

And speaking of Xmas, wouldn’t it be nice to see some of that fat political income spread around to the troops who saw their inventory, income and clients drop out of sight because of the political cash firehose? Sure would go a long way to building moral and employee buy-in, right boss? Just in time for Christmas, too!
