Conflicting signals are marking the path out of the great recession. Florida unemployment hits 12%, yet Florida home sales are said to be on the rise. Radio, TV and cable are all reporting significantly increased commercial demand now as compared to a year ago. Comcast reportedly sold out and bumped spots last weekend. A lot of them. My low-ball radio rates were turned down this past week with a blunt “no thanks.” And finally, Miller-Kaplan, so I heard, is reporting 6%-8% revenue increases in the radio market over last year.
