On Sunday, April 1st, the Spanish Broadcasting System station formerly known as Clasica 92 received a facelift and emerged as the “rejuvenated and reinvigorated” Zeta 92FM “Zalsa y Mas.” The following is direct from their release:
We did not flip the station, change the format or call letters WCMQ. We simply increased the percentage of Salsa music that we were already playing, brought in more up to date and only well known Salsa hits (ex: Marc Anthony, Juan Luis Guerra, Oscar de Leon etc…). Along with more salsa we will be including Merengue, a small amount of Disco hits as well other upbeat, more current and relevant music.
WCMQ Zeta 92FM will be a reflection of the dynamic and evolving South Florida Hispanic Community, with the purpose of entertaining the core 25-54 adult listeners.
Preliminary feedback from our listeners has been very positive and we are confident that the significant increase in listenership will reflect with positive gains for our customers.
