Broward to consider schools as ad media | Poller & Jordan Advertising Agency

According to this article in the Miami Herald, Broward County Schools is looking at advertising as a revenue-generator for the school system. I have worked with the Orange County schools, and they have a solid operation. Ad opportunities, graphic specs, prices and guidelines are clear and unambiguous. They spell out required reviews and review times, as well as a general sense of what is and isn’t acceptable.

Last year, Miami-Dade County schools began a review of ad sales opportunities. I suggested to my School Board member to keep in mind that ads targeting children often draw complaints. However, ads on the sides of school buses target those of us in traffic. The kids inside can’t see what’s on the outside. Common sense can make school advertising a success.
