Some Miami drivers may be caught off guard by a new billboard put up by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation which hopes to put people on guard—about the importance of safer sex and condom use to prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Florida currently has the third highest HIV/AIDS rate in the nation. The colorful billboard, which is actually two side-by-side billboards located alongside the commuter heavy interstate highway I-95 about three-tenths of a mile north of I-395, simply reads: ‘Don’t get it, don’t pass it,’ – the second adjacent board directs people to the AHF website www.useacondom.com. A series of colorful, highly stylized condoms both in and out of the packaging are scattered across the top of both billboards.
