Classical South Florida announced today that it will be expanding its public radio service in Palm Beach County. On September 14, 2011, WPBI 90.7 FM will begin broadcasting an all-classical music format, with NPR News headlines heard during morning and evening drive times. News fans in the region will hear a new public radio service at a different frequency—101.9 FM—and via HD Radio on 90.7 HD2. It looks like there will be competition for WLRN’s news junkies in North Broward.
“We know that public radio fans are devoted and curious, and that they appreciate arts and cultural programming,” said Doug Evans, CSF pres & GM. “By creating a brand new, 24/7 public radio news service and an all-classical music service, we’re giving listeners more choices and a greater variety of programming. We’re proud to make this additional contribution to the cultural fabric of our community.”
I am so confused! My daughter bought me a HD radio so my cat and I could listen to classical music and now I can’t find it.Please tell me what radio station and times I can expect to hear it.
When can we expect better reception on the radio? I cannot get clear reception in the car or at home. I miss my old NPR station and miss the news and other programs on this station. When it says welcome new listeners in Palm Beach County, there may be many others in the same situation.
Signed, a once devoted listner.
When can I tune into 101.9 for loud & clear NPR in Tequesta?
