A new choice for country music comes to South Florida radio

Clear Channel announced today the debut of 93.5 The Bull, Fort Lauderdale’s New Hit Country, effective immediately.  93.5 The Bull will kick off with commercial-free music for the entire summer featuring the newest hits from Country artists such as Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert. In addition, 93.5 The Bull will feature award-winning Country morning program The Bobby Bones Show, beginning later this summer  The morning show features on-air personalities Bobby Bones, Lunchbox and Amy, with special guest appearances from the biggest names in Country music straight from Nashville. Oscar Haza Morning Show to WCMQ-FM Zeta 92.3

Oscar Haza has moved his dial position from WAQI 710am to 92.3 FM Z92 as of Monday June 10th. The topics of his program range from current cultural issues and local news concerning mostly Hispanics, to a recurrent South Florida topic: Cuba. His audience is composed mostly of Cuban Americans and Hispanics from South Florida. Guests tend to include ambassadors, former presidents, governors, political analysts, writers and artists. Flood Smart Radio

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), — I think — is currently running radio commercials urging listeners to “just Google “flood smart radio.” I thought that was odd… literally sending listeners on a wild goose chase when you could just as easily point them to your website. When you hit the search button, Google shows results. At the very top of the page is a Google ad taking you to http://FloodSmart.gov, the official NFIP site. The first two organic links are also to FloodSmart.gov but then it gets interesting… Search result number 3 on the page is to FloodSmartRadio.com which is registered privately. This site redirects visitors to pages at southeastfloodinformation.com which is registered at a trailer park office in Chandler Arizona. I’m guessing an entrepreneur heard the NFIP commercial, realized FloodSmartRadio.com was available and has created a nice little niche selling leads to insurance companies. Moral of the story?
